Writing: Students will be returning to pattern books this week! Pattern books have a repeating phrase throughout all the pages (I like the _____; I see a _______; My mom is _________, etc) We can build these phrases using our snap words. Fancy pattern books sometimes add a surprise ending on the last page and change the pattern! Work with your student and their snap word cards to build pattern sentences as you write stories at home. Students will learn about adjectives and how these add detail to our pattern stories.
Mabel's Weekly Extension... Math: Students will continue to study 3D shapes through participating in rotations. Try finding 3D shapes in the world around you this week! Science & Social Studies: Students will be preparing for our Friendship Celebration on Friday and sharing their family traditions for Thanksgiving.
